*The Account Receivable Associate provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the organization receives payments for goods and services while properly recording the transactions by posting receipts and resolving discrepancies according to organization’s established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
* *Responsibilities* * *Prepare, verify, and process invoices for sales or services rendered for two plants* * *Enter data on invoices; ensure proper coding on documents* * *Assist with collections on accounts by sending communication to customers and/or within the Company via email regarding resolution for retros, short pays or other issues* * *Verify the validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, trade promotions, customer service departments and customers* * *Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries* * *Assists in the preparation of annual audits* * *Working with AP for Intercompany transactions* * *Maintain sales pricing worksheet* * *Filing sales tax accordingly* * *Verifying freight charges for customers are correct and correcting and discrepancies* * *Month end close items including but not limited to journal entries, intercompany billing and balancing, and account reconciliations* * *Any other duties as assigned by the Controller* * *Responsible for maintaining a safe and clean work environment while complying with company procedures regarding safety and environmental regulations* *Qualifications* * *Ability to maintain confidentiality* * *Ability to function as a team player or independently* * *Customer service and negotiation skills* * *Excellent written and verbal communication skills* * *Solid organizational and time management skills* * *Basic Math Skills (i.
