MORE INFO:
Purchased the van from a van builder (North Country Vans) in April of 2021 with 130k miles and has been my home ever since.
The previous owner purchased the van from nursing home with approximately 95k miles and converted it into an off grid camper.
I traveled and lived in this van for roughly 3 years.
I wanted to stay in it for another 2 years or so but I had some unforeseen circumstances that has forced me to sell.
The builder was an HVAC engineer specializing in low voltage DC building automation systems.
This vans interior is very well built.
This has been an awesome van and has taken me to some of the most beautiful places in Michigan.
If your looking to get started in the van life thing or just something for road trips this is your ticket.
Cool things:
(2) 100 ah AGM Batteries.
Replaced Spring 2022
(2) 100 watt solar panels w/ Victron bluetooth controller.
12,000 BTU/hr vented Diesel heater with outdoor tank.
Runs 2.
5 days at 25 deg F and holds the van at 70 deg F.
BRAND NEW.
Less than 24hrs run time
1000w inverter for 120 volt AC power, enough to run an instant pot or crock pot.
30 amp Sterling B2B 30 amp uses the engine alternator to charge the batteries.
Victron bluetooth battery gauge.
With normal MI sun you will be able to park and operate the fridge, fan, heater, lights, charge phones and make 1 small pot of coffee daily indefinitely.
If you use an instapot or the electric hot water heater it will take a day or two to recover before you can do it again.
No big deal if your moving every few days as the engine will charge the system back up
Wired for electric hot water heater with outdoor shower.
No current hot water heater but could easily be added.
With the bed folded up you can string a hammock down the aisle.
10 speed manual vent fan with two opening windows with bug screens.
Spot for a small porta potty but it is not included (gross)
Bench folds into a bed, 48"x70".
Cushions are from a 6" foam mattress.
Fits normal full size sheets with a little tucking.
Cargo area of van can fit a twin size blowup mattress for another bed.
Lots of storage, inside of all cabinets, drawers and cubbys have polyurethane coating and can be wiped down.
Plexiglass see through cabinet doors makes the van feel bigger inside and are unbreakable
Fits two full size dirtbikes with the bed folded up, one with bed down.
Pyle Bluetooth receiver with (2) speakers
Insulated with 1/2" foam on the ceiling and 1/4" radiant bubble on the walls.
13 gallon fresh water tank and 5 gallon gray water tank with electric RV pump.
80/20 aluminum frame lets you insert drop nuts to install hangers/tie down spots easily.
Engine check light works (left the gas cap on a fuel pump and it threw an Evap code, went away when I replaced it).
There is a hookup and spot for a chest type 12vdc fridge however one in the pictures is not included.
Passenger chair has a removable dog bench if you have a furry copilot
There are two hidden drawers and one needs a hex key to access, useful for cash and documents
2" trailer hitch receiver, no light plug though so its only good for bike/motorcycle racks
Van starts and drives well
Fresh oil Change and coolant flush - 2/10/24
New brakes all around Spring 2022
New Starter Spring 2023
Spark plugs/wire changed Winter 2022
Uncool things:
RUST- the body is very rusty but the frame and rockers are solid
Inside height is approximately 5'8", doable if your 6' like me but you'll need to sit to use the counters.
I use a 5 gallon bucket with a lid for a combo seat/trash can.
chime behind the dash does not ding.
Kinda nice if you’re on forest roads not wearing your seat belt and don't want to listen to it yelling at you.
I’ve spent about $3000 and 3 mechanic shops to try and get the AC to work and still does not work, Last time it broke i replaced compressor with bypass pulley.

The topper was repaired by previous owner but is overall in good condition.
There is corrosion above the windshield and where the topper meets.
I temporarily fixed this with some waterproof flex tape.
Few small drips around back doors when there is a lot of rain Could be fixed with some better door seals.
The windshield is cracked.
Vinyl floor is a little worn.
If you're interested there are more pictures of what the van started its life as and the conversion process which gives you a good idea on how its assembled.
Please understand that as good as the inside looks this is still a 15 year old Michigan van with 175k miles.
It starts, runs and drives good and I wouldn't hesitate to take it on another trip but its not perfect.
The good thing is this body style remained relatively unchanged from 1992-2013 so if you ever wanted to swap it over to a different van it’s relatively easy.
