General Purpose: The Camp Counselor is responsible for the daily supervision of the campers.
Effectively lead campers in games, crafts, and special events, while providing a safe environment.
Schedule: Seasonal position that runs from May - August.
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively with children in grades 1-8 in a camp setting.
General knowledge of games, sports, arts & crafts, songs.
Camp experience and/or education in teaching/recreation or related field.
Possess the ability to handle a variety of camp circumstances including direct leadership of group activities and games, cooperation with other group leaders in leading activities, creativity for new games and flexibility to change activities if necessary.
Interacts positively with co-workers and the community.
Possess good health and stamina.
Creative and enthusiastic with good organizational and people skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Attend camp orientation and training dates in June.
Pay Rate: $13.
50 - $15.
50 per hour depending on qualifications.
