Colombiere Center in Clarkston, MI is looking for entry level kitchen workers.

Starting Pay: *$15.
01* an hour, This position is eligible for pay increase after the first 90 days of employment based on passing proficiency benchmarks.
*Positions available:*
*Part Time *(30-59 hours biweekly) Expected to work AM and PM shifts during the week and weekend.
*Contingent* (16 hours guarantee bi-weekly) weekdays 3:30pm-7:00pm & weekend shifts.
*JOB SUMMARY*: Performs a variety of tasks contributing to the efficient operation of the Food Service Department including service, food preparations and sanitation functions.
This position would be able to fill in as kitchen worker, salad bar, cook supervisor etc.

*ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:*
(Performs other duties as assigned.
)
1.
Delivers and sets up salad bar and supplies to Healthcare.
Checks to ensure food is fresh, appealing and attractive.
2.
Performs sanitation by cleaning work areas using the department standards for sanitation.
3.
Sets up, delivers and retrieves food and beverage requests.
4.
Follows proper safety precautions as established by department standards.
5.
Follows an established efficient routine of scraping, rinsing, washing and putting away dining utensils, including dishes, silverware, trays, etc.
6.
Retrieves soiled dishes and racks from main dining room and healthcare dining room.
7.
Cleans dining rooms, according to established checklist.
8.
Fills table condiments and cleans condiment containers as necessary.
9.
Performs other duties as assigned and assists coworker when idle.
10.
Demonstrates respect and a service-oriented attitude towards Jesuits, staff, guests and visitors.
11.
Maintains appropriate dress and personal hygiene for dietary department work and as set by department and corporate standard.
12.
Contributes to the cost containment of Colombiere Center and makes suggestions for the cost-effective operation of the Food Service Department.
*JOB QUALIFICATIONS [Education/Skills/Abilities]:*
· High school education or equivalent desirable but not required.
· Ability to read, write and count.
· Knowledge of food service preparation and equipment.
*WORKING CONDITIONS:*
· Food preparation and serving deadlines create pressure.
· Reactions of residents, staff, guests and visitors toward prepared items are often directed to food service staff.
· Frequent exposure to moist, hot, cold, and other disagreeable conditions.
· May be required to lift items up to forty (40) pounds.
· Constant standing and walking.
