Position Summary:
Assist advanced engineering team in the development of powertrain electrification components, systems, and vehicles.
Design, build, and conduct the testing to evaluate the actual parts, systems, or vehicles.
Assist in the documentation of designs, procedures, and other work products.
Work and communicate in a team setting.
Create documentation using good writing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
-Automobile Powertrain Systems – Demonstrates basic understanding of automobile powertrains and electrification.
-Documentation Skills – Demonstrates ability to write fluently to describe powertrain components, systems, and test results.
-Communication Skills – Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and customers.
-Teamwork – Considers and seeks out the impact of his/her actions within the team.
Actively seeks collaboration with internal and external team members.
Required Experience:
GPA must be 3.
0 or higher
Major or degree in ME/EE/CS/CE
Undergraduate Sophomore standing or above
Experience with 3D modeling and 2D CAD tool or Simulink modeling
Hands on experience with assembling, building, or wiring in the lab or garage
Good writing skills
Desirable Experience:
Some course work in basic mechanical systems and/or circuit analysis completed.
Experience understanding or building a hybrid or electric vehicle.
Experience using CAD software, or Simulink, or 3D printing.
Previous co-op/intern experience in automotive industry
