ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Create, modify, and check 3D data and drawings to meet specifications and timing.
Create and maintain customer and internal engineering forms.
Develop, review, and present Technical Design Review materials to customers during the program quoting phase.
Conduct feasibility studies on new designs.
Guide support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing, and prototype fabrication.
Attend program meetings, both internal and external, to report program status, issues, and proposed solutions.
OTHER DUTIES
Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Assemble parts for appearance reviews and customer-build events.
Perform a tear-down analysis of switches to determine the cause of failure and improvements.
Perform other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or approved equivalent
Experience in automotive product development/electro-mechanical product design and development required
