Peppa Pig World of Play Michigan is on the lookout for a Guest Experience Shift Lead!* ​*About the Role* As a Guest Experience Shift Lead, you will be leading the way with an “always on” approach, proactively create memorable moments by providing expert play with guests driving full family fun, play, learning, and the development of skills together.
This role requires a team leader who can leverage their passion and expertise to impact the guest experience interacting with children and parents as well as train, motivate, engage, inspire, and mentor the Guest Experience Hosts.
The compensation for this position is $15.
00 USD per hour.
*Key Responsibilities* -Deliver memorable, interactive, fun experiences to all guests.
-Ensure excellent Guest Care at all times, working to Guest Obsession standards as set by Merlin.
-Leads the team by example and is very attraction-floor based.
-Play an active part in the operations management team and to contribute both your ideas and team ideas regarding ways to improve the daily operation to the Attraction Manager and/or Guest Experience Supervisor.
-Assumes responsibility of the attraction in the absence of the Attraction Manager and the Guest Experience Supervisor.
-Monitor department sales and strategically implement ideas to increase spends and meet budgets weekly, by completing weekly reports that will be shared with upper management.
-Provide feedback appropriately to the team to ensure they know their targets and strive to exceed them.
-Follow opening and closing procedures as detailed in the operating plan.
-Train and assist the team in standard operating procedures for admissions, F & B and retail areas.
-Work together as a team, support, communicate and encourage one another creating a fun and professional environment where both the Merlin and the attractions' brand values are embedded an promoted.
-Ensure the highest possible standards of Guest Service, presentation, technical operation and Safety in the attraction.
-Model the way and deliver training initiatives to Guest Experience Hosts ensuring the development of their skills, behaviors, and attitudes.
-Understand and exceed all guest expectations, proactively recognize guests’ needs and respond accordingly with a friendly, solutions focused approach, provide friendly, efficient and courteous service to guests, addressing guest queries with a smile, answering questions, and suggesting activities, and coach and motivate the Guest Experience Host to do the same.
-Follow departmental health & safety at all times and encourage others to do the same.
*Education and Experience* -High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
-Customer service and guest interaction experience and proficiency is required.
-Experience and passion for entertaining children and families is required.
-Ability to train others effectively required.
-Cash handling experience.
-This position requires a fun, expert, outgoing approach in interacting with others and the ability to lead a team to do the same, with an ability to provide service on the highest possible level.
-Excellent communication and motivational skills are required.
-Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-task environment.
-Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces.
-Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task as necessary.
-Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
-Must be flexible and able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays and special events.
