We are seeking a compassionate and responsible client advocate to help our patients navigate the complexities and obstacles of medical supplies.
To be a successful patient advocate, you should have a thorough understanding of all aspects of the healthcare system, strong ownership and ethics, and elite communication.
The best candidates will also be highly empathetic, and passionate about the well-being of patients.
Your responsibilities include but not limited to informing patients of their rights, responding to patient queries or complaints, resolving issues, and helping them with insurance claims and payments.
Work with customers to gather information and process authorizations for reorders.
Find solutions for patient issues, confirm accurate reorder processing via phone and email, validate medical records, and process documents.
Confirming with patients that GNS has all required medical documentation for billing purposes.
Improve retention, upselling, & cross-selling metrics by communicating with patients via phone and email.
Manage inbound and outbound calls from physicians and referrals, ensuring patient satisfaction and confidentiality.
Must also be able to troubleshoot new and current patient customer concerns, add new services, verify information, and explain healthcare insurance coverages.
Outline all required information to patients for compliance purposes to make informed decisions.
Resolving and documenting patients’ complaints.
Responsibilities may change as business needs alter.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Proven customer service experience is preferred.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent management, leadership, and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Proficient computer literacy to include strong keyboarding and ability to key data accurately while maintaining strong listening skills.
Exceptional phone and email etiquette.
Ability to offer emotional support and sympathy.
Passion for the well-being of patients.
Position may require evening and weekend availability.
