Delivery Driver/Warehouse

*_Job Summary:_* The Delivery Driver will manage shipping/receiving for trucks, and be responsible for moving/shipping parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another.
\*\*\*In/out of state\*\*\* *_Duties/Responsibilities:_* * Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to carriers, supervisor, and purchasing officer per company policy.
* Verifies and records all items loaded for shipments.
* Carefully and accurately maintains shipping records for requested categories including goods returned, dunnage, and returnable pallets.
* Maintains database of shipment data to ensure that customer orders are updated and that appropriate billing documents are provided to accounting or other associated departments as required.
* Notifies supervisor of major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions.
* Completes information on damage claims for in-transit damage.
* Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
* Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
* Delivers parcels to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
* Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
* Maintains basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made.
* Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
* Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
*_Required Skills/Abilities: _* * Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
* Basic understanding of warehouse procedures.
* Ability to drive safely, and use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
* Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
* Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
* Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
*_Education and Experience:_* * High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
* Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
*_Physical Requirements: _* * Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.
* Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
* Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock.
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $17.
