The Lamphere School District is currently contracting the services of EDUStaff for Bus Driver/Custodian.
You will be required to have a district paid fingerprint criminal history check processed through the Michigan Department of State Police and FBI.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Rate: $19-$21.
42 hr.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent
One year successful work experience in transporting students, preferred
Clean driving record, required
Maintain a current DOT Medical Card
Hold a valid State of Michigan CDL license, Type CB, with P, S and Air Brake endorsements
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and public relations with students, staff, peers and community
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Have sufficient strength, agility and dexterity to perform all required tasks
Must be able to pass random drug/alcohol screening as required by DOT
Must be able to perform routine custodial tasks
Ability to withstand the strain of the position
Other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the administration
Responsibilities:
Transport assigned students in a safe and professional manner
Perform and properly complete daily inspections of bus before and after each route
Comply with all traffic ordinances
Adhere to established time schedule
Show proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus
Assist students with getting on and off the bus, when required
Participate in state mandated training and required safety and staff meetings
Complete all daily/annual records and reports as required
Address student discipline issues when necessary to maintain a safe and healthy environment
Check all Fire, Emergency and First Aid equipment
Ensure the safety of all students
Maintain a clean and sanitary bus at all times
Perform routine custodial functions as assigned
Regular and punctual attendance is required
Other duties as deemed necessary by the administration
