Heavy Haul Local Driver (Short-Doubles)

*Job description* Duties: - Safely and efficiently operate Short-Doubles with emphasis on heavy haul experience.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Communicate with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and address any issues or concerns.
Qualifications: - Valid commercial driver's license (CDL A) with a clean driving record.
- At least 2 years experience as a heavy haul truck driver or in a similar role.
- Ability to operate various types of trucks, including Super trains, dump trucks, and tractor-trailers.
(Must have 2 years of experience with Short doubles carrying Gravel, Dirt, clay, etc.
- Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Physical stamina to load and unload freight as needed.
