Market Driver

We are looking for PASSIONATE, FRIENDLY Market Drivers, who love people and plants, to join our team for our Spring 2024 Season! English Gardens' Market Drivers play a very important role in the success of our stores.
To be successful in the position, the candidate should have experience driving a large (26') Cargo truck as well as Hi Lo experience.
This fast-paced position begins at approximately 5:00am, to arrive for early morning pick up at Eastern Market and/or other local area greenhouses.
Products are delivered to various locations throughout Metro Detroit.
The Market Driver is responsible for loading and unloading goods.
On non-market days, this Driver will be expected to carry out other duties at the store, as assigned by the store manager.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent customer service skills by consistently delivering quality products and acting in a courteous and professional manner.

Must be able to travel to work location.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to maneuver racks and pallet jack, which can weigh up to 500 pounds.
Ability to adjust to seasonal temperatures.
Must be 18 years old or older.
Must have an excellent driving record.
Must be able to obtain chauffeurs license and medical card.
This is a seasonal position lasting up to 15 weeks but could potentially lead to a long-term position.
