The heater is fairly new and worked great last winter, we custom shaped it to be closer to the bottom of the tank (see photo) because the way they are designed from the factory they set about 3 to 4 in.
above the bottom and we didn't like the idea of the horses drinking the water down far enough to expose the heater and burning it out so it now is closer to a 1 in.
clearance.
So this is a one-of-a-kind !! THREE CUSTOM MADE HAY FEEDERS made from a round hay feeder disassembled and set on edge with tarps overtop, wood in the front and back and water pipe across the front so the horse can't walk on the hay and it stays dry inside the feeders.

They Really save on wasted hay!! METAL T-POST FENCE POSTS, WIRE, INSULATORS AND PARMAK MARK IV ELECTRIC FENCER to electrify the wire have somewhere around 75 metal fence posts running from 5' to 7'.
Most have rust on them but still sturdy.
We estimate the wire between 1/4 and 1/2 mile.
The electric fencer is Parker McCrory Parmak brand, Mark IV.
It's missing some paint but still works great! 150 used insulators, different lengths and some are nail in for wood.
There is an additional 140 insulators that have a missing ear or base which we used by wiring them to the posts.

It is made of metal rather than plastic like the newer ones and is much more rugged and well made.
This prevents wasted food.

This has been a wonderful piece of equipment for us when we can't get home to feed or we're on vacation, we know our horse will always get it's grain! We made some short clips of it turning on automatically and dispensing for different lengths of time to give the animal more or less feed per feeding.
It does take 10 or 15 seconds for the feeder to engage in them.
