I am considering getting a group of former / current (hotel / country club / banquet facilities) F & B employees
together to buy out, lease, or build a large banquet facility, either in the Brighton, Milford, New Hudson, or South Lyon area.
It has been obvious to me that people in general are looking to socialize, especially singles.
In Commerce Twp.
there are a few choices: Uptown Grill, Zerbo's, The Beach - Tiki bar.
The idea I have would consist of a large facility with approximately 30, 72" rounds with 8 chairs each, and a large, wood, dance floor - 36'*36' or 40'*40', and at least 2 bars areas, and a smaller size kitchen for appetizer prep, a dry storage room, a cooler, and a small dish room.
In addition, obviously there would have to a 21 y.
o.
+ rule, and to avoid unruly situations, institute just beer, wine, and soda at the 2 bars.
There would also have to be a very large parking area.
There could also be security, such as ex-military, or off duty police, in the form of both a male and female official.
There is plenty of time at this point to solidify this idea, and until we know for sure what the outcome is in November, for the present this just speculation.
