Position Summary: This role completes the subrogation process of investigation, negotiation and settlement, and recognizes subrogation potential for assigned claims.
The primary purpose is to coordinate litigated subrogation claims and be the liaison between our clients and attorney network.
Must represent the company's core values in all situations, have a strong work ethic, and be production and results oriented to meet or exceed goals to include recovery, claim quality, and resolution timeliness.
Core Technical & Functional Responsibilities: Establishes and develops good partnership relationships as the liaison between the Company and court venues, attorney vendors and clients.
Conforms to Court Rules and Civil Procedures when managing court records, legal pleadings and discovery documentation.
Performs legal research; evaluates claims on merit for valid legal basis of liability while adhering to nationwide statutory laws and legal procedures.
Effectively strategizes and negotiates claims in litigation.
Actively participates in Court hearings, trials and mediations.
Thorough knowledge of all types of subrogation claims to include, but not limited to auto, property and, workers compensation.
Main Responsibilities/Tasks: Navigates through our proprietary database and electronic documents to process and resolve claims Prioritizes and appropriately documents all activities for recovery Maintain diaries to be current and sets timely and specific diaries on issues of subrogation for follow-up and correspondence Professionally and effectively communicates with insurance company clients, insured parties, responsible parties, attorneys, law enforcement agencies, as well as any entity association with the investigation of a claim.
Assists internal and external customers with the resolution of moderately complex questions with little or no assistance from management.

Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma A minimum of two years of experience handling claims with demonstrated ability to handle subrogation files of moderate to high complexity Thorough knowledge of all types of subrogation claims including, but not limited to, auto, property and, workers compensation Knowledge of attorney processes Basic claims knowledge Ability to work claims within guidelines of the Best Claims Practices as well as all internal company and/or team processes An awareness of laws that govern insurance claims and trends in the subrogation field Attention to detail Ability to work in multiple computer systems and Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as client or vendor applications Ability to thoroughly evaluate claims for additional subrogation pursuit via arbitration filing, full and partial liability denial, and disputed damages Ability to handle multiple client workflows and adhere to requirements outlined for each client Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with team members Strong customer service and communication skills with a strong phone presence.
Must be able to handle difficult conversations in a professional manner while being persuasive Ability to prioritize workload effectively Excellent conflict management skills Ability to read, write and clearly speak English language Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree and/or Paralegal Certification or 3 years minimum experience in a Court and/or Law Firm environment Expertise in a plaintiff litigation and/or Trial Court setting preferred CSRP - Certified Subrogation Recovery Professional Designation Preferred We understand that benefits and perks are important to you.
