The Role
The compliance project manager will assist OWL’s customers with environmental compliance needs.
The ideal candidate is someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, trustworthy confidence, self-motivation, and growth potential for building customer relationships.
The responsibilities below are a high-level representation of the position, but are not all encompassing.
Responsibilities
Review regulatory reports with customers, inspectors, and internal team to determine scope of work
Perform site survey to obtain knowledge of site's layout, equipment, condition, etc.
, along with database research for state records of site as needed
Ordering of materials for projects, assuring they have arrived and communicating any deficiencies
Review of complete scope of work and/or drawings with those involved on the project in the field
Permitting, scheduling and attending site inspections with state, county, city, trade and/or other jurisdictions
Coordinating internally with project managers, construction managers, service managers and various departments for project scheduling and follow up of equipment orders to ensure a proper resolution to projects
Travel will be required for the following:
Ensure projects are on schedule, coordinating any missing/additional parts/material, quality control to meet project specifications, and communication with all parties involved to ensure a proper resolution to project.
Conducting EHS assessments and on-site EHS support
Off-site meetings with clients and/or regulatory agencies
Potential overnight stays may be required throughout MI, OH, IN, KY depending on project(s) location and duration, estimated at 2% annually
Coordinating externally with subcontractors for scheduling
Coordination of project administration with items such as job setups, service call creation, purchase orders and equipment orders
Coordination of project administration with job cost and service billing
Professional customer service skills required for interfacing with the customer and/or customer’s project team along with inspectors and all other parties involved
Qualifications
Must have strong organizational and time management skills
Associates degree or higher preferred
Strong communications, negotiation, customer service, oral and written skills
Project management, sales experience required; estimating skills preferred
Experience with environmental compliance preferred
2+ years of petroleum industry experience preferred
2+ years of petroleum construction experience preferred
Other related experience will be considered
Good driving record
Proficient with computer and various software applications
Please note: This is not necessarily a 40-hour per week position, overtime may be needed to complete a job or accommodate customers.
