Home Service Partners (HSP), a dynamic company with ownership of multiple HVAC businesses, is at the forefront of transforming the home services industry.
We are currently seeking an experienced Controller to join our team and take on the pivotal role of establishing and shaping our financial control function from the ground up.
As the first Controller at Home Service Partners, you will play a key role in contributing to the growth and success of the company during its early startup phase.
This presents a unique opportunity for an accounting professional to make a significant impact and evolve with the organization.
This position is hybrid, allowing for remote work as well as in-person collaboration at company locations in Clinton Township and/or Sylvan Lake.
This position reports to the President of HSP.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000
Typical Hours Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
*KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*
*Financial Management:*
* Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
* Manage the month-end close process and preparation of financial statements.
* Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records.
* Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
*Accounts Payable:*
* Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
*Accounts Receivable:*
* Oversee accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely and efficient collection of receivables.
* Implement strategies to minimize outstanding receivables.
*Vendor Account Financial Management:*
* Collaborate with vendors to optimize financial arrangements and terms.
* Conduct regular reviews of vendor accounts for accuracy and adherence to contracts.
*Business Treasury Management:*
* Manage the company's treasury function, including cash flow forecasting and liquidity management.
* Implement strategies to enhance overall financial efficiency.
*Payroll Experience (a plus):*
* Collaborate with Operation Managers and HR to ensure accuracy in payroll transactions.
Other responsibilities as needed by the President and Owner of HSP.
*QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:*
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
* At least 3 years of accounting experience
* Proficient in QuickBooks or similar accounting system
* Expertise in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
* Familiarity with vendor account management and business treasury functions.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
