Job Summary Are you ready to move your career forward with a national leader in Food Service? Chartwells has a new opening for a Chef Manager at Oakland University.
This is a Great Opportunity to join an amazing company.
In this role you will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service operation.
This role will require a flexible schedule including a weekend rotation shift.
Key Responsibilities Culinary management of food service operation including inventory, ordering and receiving Direct management and training of associates Serve as Safety Champion for campus Foster and lead the Waste Not Program on campus Proficient in menu development, cost controls, purchasing and inventory with a focus on sourcing and utilizing local food products Possesses a passion for sustainability Preferred Qualifications Must have a working knowledge of HACCP Three years of culinary management experience in contract foodservice, fine dining setting, or restaurant with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation Experience with exposition cooking needed Knowledge of P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable ServSafe certified Apply to Chartwells Higher Education today!
