Zoning and Planning Manager

West Bloomfield Township is accepting applications for a *Zoning and Planning Manager.
* Under the supervision of the Development Services Director, is responsible for planning, administering and coordinating zoning ordinance process and planning related activities for the department and is staff liaison to the Zoning Board of Appeals; including zoning variance requests.
Duties delegated or assigned by the Development Services Director or Planning Director are carried out with moderate independence and latitude with the Director being consulted on policy issues and unusual situations.
Manages the various municipal zoning and planning activities related to the department(s).
Work is evaluated through the reviewing of reports, maintaining positive relationships, activity summaries and assessment of Township operations, effectiveness and efficiency.
*Qualifications:* - Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Geography, Civil Engineering, or the equivalent *required*.
- Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- AICP accreditation is preferred.
- Three to five years of experience in progressively more responsible municipal or urban planning consulting is *required*.
