JOB SUMMARY: The Branch Expansion Director is responsible for opening new Mersino branches throughout the U.
S.
from start to finish.
This leader plays a central role in strategic planning, making critical decisions and guiding new branch personnel toward success and best practices.
Responsible for opening 3 - 6 branches in US in 2024.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct/coordinate internal resources to facilitate new branch openings
Create, benchmark and implement a New Branch Opening Playbook
Conduct thorough market research to identify potential locations for new branches
Analyze demographic data, competition and local business landscape to assess viability
Partner with internal Department Heads to facilitate ongoing training to branch personnel on company’s best practices and procedures
Champion a Pro-Forma for new branch opening proposals outlining expected revenue ramp up, and expected startup expenses
Negotiate lease agreements for new branch properties
Partner with Industrial Operations Engineer to design the Yard and Shop layouts for new branches, with focus on proper flow, sufficient storage and working areas
Coordinate with Fleet and Purchasing to secure inventory and supplies for new branches
Strategize with Talent Acquisition to get approved positions filled
Coordinate with Safety to secure appropriate training, supplies and equipment
Work with various vendors to set up facilities
Implement KPIs and metrics to assess the performance of each new branch
Continuously evaluate and optimize branch operations for efficiency and profitability
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent experience, MBA is a plus
Construction project management
Proven experience in branch start up, branch management, business development or similar
Strong analytical and strategic planning skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Proficient in Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
