com We are currently hiring a Software Project Lead for our BRIGHTON MI location.
The candidate must be onsite at least 3 days/wk.
or at manager discretion.
There will be no relocation for this position at this time.

This position manages and supports the application software development activities and software product development life cycle for production projects.
Responsible for the Software Development for production projects Software release and content planning to support customer software deliveries for Braking and Chassis products.
Develop technical knowledge of critical software functions for the project.
Be able to articulate issues to other software team members implementing changes for the project.
Collect and track critical software computing resource metrics - initiate mitigating actions for any resource issues.
Attending project related meetings where software topics are discussed.
Ensure software implementation activities for project are conducted using best processes (resource optimization, peer reviews, static analysis, unit tests) Ensure design artifacts used for software implementation are properly documented and configured in ALM tool.
Create / maintain system anomaly reports (SARs) for project specific software issues.
Ensure they are advanced through SAR life cycle with proper documentation and traceability.
Collect and maintain software error metrics for project.
Develop action plans for remediating any perennial errors.
Estimate efforts for software implementation.
Assures quality of the software development process to meet ASPICE and ISO26262 standards on all change requests and software development plans.
Communicate / document timing and scope for project specific software deliverables to SW Engineering Manager Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM.
Kanban, etc.
) Experience in Reactive Problem Solving (Is/ Is not, Fishbone, 5W), Change Management, Configuration Management, Defect Management Personnel Management Manages software development resources, tasks, and prioritization of personnel.
Building local competency for the entire SW Development Life Cycle Planning, Requirements, Design/Architecture, Implementation, Integration, Testing.
Strong sense of responsibility, commitment, and innovative thinking.
Strong leadership skills and highly self-motivated.
Good written/ verbal communication and presentation skills (solid English second language skill) Capable of working independently in an organized and structured fashion Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering / software engineering / computer science or equivalent 7+ Years' Experience in Embedded Software Development required.
3+ Years' Experience in Automotive Safety Critical System preferred.
Preferred Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Project for Project/Resource Management and Planning Configuration and Requirements Management toolchains (PTC, ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, etc.
) Software Development Life Cycle – V-Model, Agile, etc.
Microcontroller Experience: Infineon TriCore, Freescale, or equivalent Communication Protocols Experience: CANalyzer, CANape, Matlab, etc.
Vehicle Debug and analysis experience along with working knowledge of ASPICE and ISO26262 standards.
Experience with Embedded C programming and/or MATLAB Simulink Experience with AUTOSAR software development is preferred.
Experience with safety critical systems or ISO26262 is preferred.
Experience with automotive cyber security methodologies is preferred.
