*Job Description:* Our inventory tracking systems are installed using common hand tools while working alongside various construction trades within customer facilities.
The Installation Technician will install electronic equipment, antennas, route and terminate coaxial & data cables in hospital storage racks and operating room cabinetry.
Many installations are enhancements to returning customer systems.
The successful candidate(s) will appreciate the tidiness & workmanship left behind at the conclusion of an installation which is a major metric our customers judge us by.
Domestic travel to hospitals is required (+60%); occasionally multiple, uninterrupted weeks may be required.
Travelling home for weekends is very common, however not guaranteed.
Installation/retrofit events may be performed either solo or in teams of 2 or 3 technicians.
Establishing and maintaining customer relationships from project inception through post installation follow-up support will be required.
During periods between customer site visits, light manufacturing, testing, quality control inspections and kitting of components for shipment will occur at our Lake Orion, MI facility.
This position is predominantly 1stshift with flexibility required at customer sites to accommodate room and trades availability.
Expect to accompany another seasoned installation technician during field events until such time you have acquired the detailed skills to work autonomously.
*Required skills:* · Use of basic hand tools · Mechanical aptitude · Working knowledge of typical Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project) · Good communication skills (YOU will directly impact our customer relationships) · Self-starter with the maturity to work at off-site locations alongside of other professionals · Work both independently and as part of a team · Provide customer with instruction and train them how to use their new equipment · Be comfortable working on a step ladder · Available to travel within the US by air or land · Possess a valid drivers license · Have had or will obtain all vaccinations required to work in healthcare facilities · The candidate(s) will successfully pass background checks and drug testing *Education:* * High School diploma or higher is required * Secondary education, trade certifications and/or applicable licensing are desirable *Desired Skills:* * Prior RF or low voltage experience such as voice/data, alarm system installation, CCTV, Audio/Visual and phone system installation experience is highly beneficial * Using a laptop computer to configure/test RFID readers and establish communications using MAC and IP addresses * Light carpentry skills used during manufacturing phases and to build mockup test fixtures * Operate CNC routers, ultrasonic welders, RF testing systems, saws & drill presses; training provided as required *Benefits:* * Competitive wages * 401(K) * Health Insurance * Flexible Spending Account program is available.
