I'm interested in forming a new music project/band with a core black metal sound that draws influence from melodic death metal, progressive, and dissonant death metal.
Putting this feeler post out there to find interested musicians who might mesh well together on some collaborative writing, remotely at first and maybe eventually in person.
The goal would be to release music of course, and then see what that snowballs into.
I have plenty ideas to share musically, and I have several years experience playing guitar, bass, and drums.
I don't have a great breadth of music theory knowledge, but I do grasp concepts and feel I have a decent ear for what sounds good or not.
Some of the bands that I'm envisioning to draw influences from would be: Hath, Ad Nauseam, Tomarum, Vertebra Atlantis, Wake, Deluge, Abigail Williams, etc.
I'm planning to take on one guitar role, so I'm mostly looking for bassists, drummers, synth/keys players, and maybe another guitarist to collab with on actual music writing at this stage.
