Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Leasing Agent in *STERLING HEIGHTS, MI.
* As a Leasing Agent, you will be responsible for assisting prospective tenants with finding and leasing properties.
Your excellent communication and negotiation skills will be essential in providing exceptional customer service and maintaining positive relationships with tenants.
Duties:
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and provide detailed information about available units
- Assist prospective tenants with the application process, including verifying income, conducting background checks, and reviewing lease agreements
- Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, including conducting inspections and documenting any damages
- Address tenant inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of tenant interactions, lease agreements, and rental payments
- Collaborate with property management team to ensure properties are well-maintained and meet all safety and compliance standards
- Stay updated on market trends, rental rates, and competitor offerings to effectively market available units
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer relationship management or sales is preferred
- Knowledge of Section 8, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other affordable housing programs is a plus
- Familiarity with real estate administrative processes and property management principles
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to negotiate lease terms and handle conflict management situations professionally
- Proficiency in using property management software or similar tools
