Accountability Objectives:
In compliance with regulatory requirements, performs a variety of departmental sanitation functions and tasks within the Food Services Department, according to established department and hospital procedures and policies.

C Special Skill / Aptitudes
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Must be able to demonstrate thorough knowledge and proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment operation, and cleaning procedures.
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, lift, push, and pull heavy and awkward weights using carts and other conveyances.
Excellent customer service orientation skills necessary in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital personnel, outside customers and community groups.
D.
Experience
• Previous commercial cleaning and high-volume restaurant Porter experience preferred.
III Duties / Responsibilities:
Responsible for cleaning and sanitation of pots, pans, and utensils, and maintaining a clean and neat work area.
Responsible for surface cleaning Food Service areas: sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing of all surfaces by hand and utilizing commercial cleaning equipment.
Responsible for assisting in tasks related to receiving, storage, disbursing, and delivery of food and supplies.
Perform "deep cleaning" and other project work as assigned.
Responsible for trash removal and surface cleaning of trash receptacles in Food Services areas including storage, prep, and service areas, customer and physician dining.
Performs other duties as assigned.
