Job Description: Dishwasher

Job Summary:
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc.
in the kitchen area.
The Dishwasher will also assist with cleaning other areas of the kitchen as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans, using dishwashers or by hand.
Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
Clean food preparation areas, facilities, or equipment.
Sweep or scrub floors.
Stock supplies, such as food or utensils, in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
Assist cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Prior experience as a dishwasher or in a similar role preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Conditions:
The Dishwasher will work in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat, steam, and noise.
The position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long periods of time.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, stoop, and reach.
Ability to work in a hot and humid environment.
