Waterford Montessori Academy, a public charter school in Waterford, Michigan, is accepting applications for a full-time special educational paraprofessional position to provide support services in the general education classroom for one or more students.
The successful candidate's immediate assignment will be with a first grade student, under the direction of the classroom teacher, and supported by the school social worker, behavior analyst, and director.
We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:
- Experience working one-on-one with students requiring special supports and services.
- Must practice peace, patience, and kindness.
- Must be a team player – you may be asked to help in any area of the school, and this position might change.
- Must be eager to learn.
- Experience and training in ABA practices and behavior modification helpful but not required.
Applicants with 60+ credit hours and substitute teaching eligibility preferred, but not required.
