Valid Michigan Department of education Secondary Certificate, endorsed in Marketing Cluster according to the Office of the CTE Education Endorsements (IX, TX, or TE)
Well-developed management skills, people skills and effective communication skills
Ability to share knowledge with real-life applications
Demonstrated successful teaching experience with high school students
Successful experience working in collaborative groups
Must be able to infuse contextual learning opportunities into subject area
Advanced ability to use technology effectively
Willingness to participate in professional development courses aligned with the school and district initiatives
Essential Functions:
Implement a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
Develop lesson plans and instructional material and provide individualized and small group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil.
Learn and infuse emerging technologies into teaching, learning, and assessment
Maintain flexibility with students, staff, and physical space in an evolving educational environment
Work and plan cooperatively with other teachers, administrators, counselors and community members
