Purpose
The Account Manager oversees projects and business relationships with assigned accounts, exceeding customer’s expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Prepares the commercial price negotiation and gets approval for strategy, and for any offer before submission to customer
Develop New Business Plans which assess Return on Investments
Develop Quotations which will be submitted to Customers including customer-specific cost breakdown sheets
Work with a complex bill of material to understand and program costs
Develop roadmaps for cost and financials to meet price and Company targets
Work with a variety of manufacturing processes and related costs (stamping, welding, assembly, etc.
)
Follow-up on open quote and program financial issues until they are resolved
Negotiate pricing
Set cost targets for suppliers
Direct involvement in spending and recoveries for all applicable areas.
Ensures that the commercial file transmitted by the program is complete and coherent and that the history of the commercial items (initial offer, changes, piece price, tooling, D&D evolution, any other agreement) are correctly documented internally with the related cost information and contractually communicated to the customer.
Keeps files updated (weight, material consumption - net and gross, raw material reference prices) and gets internal approval for cost changes linked to material changes.
Outstanding customer communication skills are essential for success in this position!

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management (Stamping, Welding & Assembly)
Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive account management, ideally in seating
Experience and exposure to US and European OEM’s.
Experience with General Motors and Stellantis is a plus

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting with occasional plant floor visits and observation.
