The Shul-Chabad Lubavitch is a Jewish synagogue that is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our team.
The Shul’s mission is to bring a sense of community and Jewish connection to Jews in West Bloomfield, MI and statewide.
We offer a Jewish home away from home to all Jews regardless of affiliation or level of observance.
Program offerings are of the highest quality and include youth and adult education, summer camp, life cycle celebrations, senior programming, and Shabbat and holiday programming.
The Shul is committed to the well-being of the community in both body and spirit.

We are implementing a high-growth development strategy to build on all of our strengths and leverage our capabilities.
*Executive Assistant to the Development Director Job Requirements: *Play an integral role in supporting the fundraising efforts of the Development Team and help keep the team aware of timelines for submissions and other ongoing requirements.
Work directly with the Director of Development and the Grants Manager, helping to prepare all written content, texts and email necessary to secure funding for The Shul’s community programming.
Help to communicate the Shul's objectives through online platforms (e.
g.
, Facebook, Google, X, TikTok, Instagram, etc.
).
*This is a hybrid-remote, part-time position that averages 10-20 hours per week and pays $20-$25/hour.
It will be necessary to live in the metro-Detroit area and come in to work in the office periodically.
Qualifications for the position:*
* Developing and maintaining an in-depth understanding of fundraising and development and government and private grants.
* Having excellent grant-writing, proofreading and interactive skills; a minimum of 3 years of experience and demonstrated success in a fundraising/development office is required.
* Being an advanced user of CRM, the Google Suite and Microsoft Office and the ability to learn Salesforce.
* Being able to balance multiple priorities and adhere to tight deadlines.
* Being highly detail-oriented and organized; tracking work within timelines and budgets.
* Having a strong understanding of Jewish culture, values and practice would be preferred.
* Helping to capitalize on online communication and fundraising platforms (e.
g.
, Instagram, TikTok, X, Google, Facebook, GoFundMe, etc.
).
* Working independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Being willing to work evenings and weekends, if needed.
* Having a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
* Maintaining confidentiality and communicating effectively at a high level, both orally and in writing.
*Responsibilities:*
* Emphasizing teamwork, respect and excellence.
* Identifying opportunities for fundraising.
* Helping to develop compelling grant proposals for governments, foundations and corporate philanthropies.
* Assisting in writing content for sponsorship packages.
* Maintaining a comprehensive grant calendar, including donor cultivation and reporting requirements.
* Assisting in supporting donor stewardship by sending gift acknowledgements, pledge reminders, meeting follow-ups and program updates.
* Communicating with donors in a tactful and professional manner.
* Using CRM and tracking donor activities using Salesforce.
* Managing people and projects successfully.
* Creating high-quality presentations.
* Assisting with meeting agenda preparation through preparing slides, editing, revising and being a source of ideas and recommendations.
* Creating and working with reports.
* Maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
* Performing general administrative duties (e.
g.
, taking detailed notes, compiling data for reports, answering phone calls and handling special projects).
* Being a self-starter with the ability to work independently, anticipate needs and make sound decisions with minimal direction.
* Being motivated, organized, responsible and punctual.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.
